Florian Wielgosik

Florian Wielgosik studied at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Dirk Hirthe for an ERASMUS program, at the CNSMDP with Gérard Buquet and André GiIbert and at the CRR of Amiens Métropole with François Thuillier for Saxhorn/Euphonium, Tuba and chamber music.
Florian can already look back on several prestigious competition, including first prizes at International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen, International Competition "Città di Porcia", "Jeju International Brass & Percussion Competition" in South Korea and at "Concours Tuba Tours" (now Concours Tuba Paris).
In addition to his orchestral activities, Florian Wielgosik teaches regularly. He has been appointed Tuba teacher at Antibes Music School in 2023 and also make Masterclass at the CNSMDP, Royal College of Music London, HEM Genève, Pole Supérieur Lille, "Académie de Cuivre et Percussion" at Surgères. And also playing Recital: ITEC 2024, Limoux Brass Festival, Tuba days...
Since January 2015 Florian Wielgosik has been principal Tuba of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, he regularly play with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Prior to this appointment, he gained orchestral experience with the Philharmonie Franco-Allemande, Orchestre Français des Jeunes, Orchestre de Picardie, the Paris Brass Band and the Brassband of Amiens.
